29- Stopwatch

Robert Duverne, the French national football team's physical trainer, became famous despite himself thanks to his "furious stopwatch throwing." This action had nothing to do with the Olympics, but it was the result of the staff's anger and frustration during the tragic "Knysna strike," when Raymond Domenech's players refused to get off the bus in a rather pathetic protest following the coach's exclusion of Nicolas Anelka. The stopwatch was purchased by Louis Nicollin at a charity auction.
